It's amazing to notice that the football ticket is sold out. Amazing! The feeling is so great knowing that Malaysians are ready for hope.

Imagine. 90,000 packed stadium supporting our national team tomorrow. Come on. I believe we can overturn the 2 goals and cruise to third round. Nothing is impossible in football. With the fans cheering for our players, I can expect the team to play with their heart.

I would love if our Malaysian fans tomorrow can wear the national jerseys, bring along the national flags and sing along the chorus sang by Ian and JJ featuring Nadira:

Hitam kuning, hitam kuning, hitam kuning, hitam kuning! Go tigers! Go tigers!
Hitam kuning, hitam kuning, hitam kuning, hitam kuning! Go tigers! Go Go tigers

Hitam Kuning (Go Tigers!) - Nadhira, JJ & Ean by themovemint

Apart from this song, we can all cheer by chanting Malaysia!Malaysia! Ole, Ole, Malaysia!

Imagine the fun and excitement that we going to have for 1 hour tomorrow. Never have Malaysians support their football team this way before. It has always been England, Brazil, Mancherster United, Liverpool, etc. This is where the changes in our believe system should work. Football unites people. Politics segregate people. So, rather than thinking about the political issues, let's celebrate and show to our PM that we are all 1Malaysia and ready for hope!

Bear in mind, winning or losing is part of the game. Don't hope too much. Continue support Malaysia even if we lose. Trust me. We can one day wake up and be proud of our national team. They can be the catalyst for our hope. Something which we have never thought we would believed in.

Harimau Malaya will roar and crush the so called Lions tomorrow. We will not allow them to walk tall tomorrow! Watch out kiasu. Tomorrow you'll learn a real lesson.

I had a brief discussion yesterday with my parents. We were discussing about the possibilities of me getting married this year. My mom told me that she has no problem if I want to get married.

"ok, if u want to merisik, go and buy the ring. Just buy the plain ring which cost around RM 200 - RM 400" mom said.

So the first step of me getting married is to get the merisik ring which is known as the belah rotan. Belah rotan ring is just a simple ring which is known as cincin tanda. I think I'll buy the ring buy this week.

Merisik should be a simple event whereby both families sit together for a discussion and getting to know at the same time. I believe this is the most important step when getting married. From the outcome of the talk, you will then decide whether should you or shouldn't you proceed. For me, I look it that way. If the process of merisik is smooth, then I believe it should be less problem for the next steps.

Based on my research, during the merisik part, the guys should bring a long some fruits, sweets or any gifts. Its not compulsory but more on the public relations between both families.

I was thinking of doing the merisik by this week itself but it seems that my request has been turned down by my parents. They said its better to do during the Ramadhan or after raya. Well, for me, anything is acceptable. The longer time I have, the better it is. Why? More money to save and more time to enjoy my bachelorhood period.

Long Hair, short hair,
Small tummy to big tummy,
From La Bodega to Bandung,
From Klang to Subang,
From UiTM to Sydney,
The more we think the crazy we become,

When I see you, I see myself,
When I sleep, I dream of you,
When I stink, I think of you,
When I'm hungry, I think of you,
It's annoying how much you have been part of the system...

Merisk, Bertunang etc....
I have problems with people,
Either i wait or I lose you,
I'd rather faced all this fear for a journey around the world with you!

Tomei, Habib Jewel, Tiffany & Co,
Cheap, Expensive and Luxury,
Whichever that I buy from, it comes from the heart,
Your precious finger can only be fitted with something nice and precious,
I will definitely take the time to get from the best!

So long...The day is getting nearer..I can feel the heat inside me. My palm is sweating. My mind is thinking of many things! How I wish I am 18 rather than 28...

Over the weekend, I saw a colleague of mine selling "kebab" and "nasi lemak" in front of SJMC, Subang. I messaged him, told that I saw him. Asked him what was he doing in front of SJMC. He said he's there helping his girlfriend selling kebab. "Wanna make some extra income laa bro. Just don't tell anyone". That's what he said.

Well, in the car, me and Miss was just curious. Why? What's wrong if other people knows he is selling food by the road side? Is it something wrong?

Well, maybe it will be shameful to him if others know. Someone who cares so much about status will definitely be embarrassed if others find out that they are doing all this small scale business. I was just doing a simple calculation. Just say if u have small stall business and it can generate RM500 per day, it will fetch RM 15000 per month man! That's for one stall only. How about if you have several stalls?

Small stall business might lack all those classiness criteria. You might be exposed to the heat, bad weather and harassment from the district municipal. Whatever it is, it brings cash.

One thing that I learned, people nowadays think too much of status. Everyone wants to potray how rich they are with the car they drive, the house they stay and the clothes they wear. What's the point of having luxury in the eyes of other people but deep inside you are not what you are.

Humbleness is rare species nowadays.

Wanted to blog about how wonderful today was but it didnt end that well so now i'm not the mood to write anymore.

Its funny how we are capable of having different seasons in a day.

I know i'm at my worst late late at night. I can be over-dramatic n psycho and suddenly laugh about it the next day. However, despite knowing that fact, i still find it very very hard to just sleep over it.

There's just soo many things in life that doesnt make sense sometimes, and many that does.

Sometimes i dont understand why we cannot be grateful for what we have. Why are we always seeking for more? Why are we always envying on the greener side?

Sooo many people are blinded and misguided by power, money and love. They do stupid illogical things to win something that they believe is theirs. Some dont mind losing their dignity.

We all want what's best for ourselves. But do we really know what's best for us?

Oh well. Just some rawak ramblings in the middle of the night.

Mission statement, vision statement and core values are actually the foundation of a company. From what I see in Malaysia, most companies have all those but it's not being communicated well to the employees. What's the point of having bombastic core values which at the end of the days, nobody understands it or even practice it.

Recently, I have read two books which are Delivering Happiness: A Path to Profits, Passion and Purpose and Losing My Virginity by Sir Richard Branson.

The first book mentioned is written by Tone Hseih, founder of Zappos which was eventually bought over by Amazam.com. The core values instilled by him is:

1. Deliver WOW Through Service
2. Embrace and Drive Change
3. Create Fun and A little Weirdness
4. Be adventurous, creative and open- minded
5. Persue Growth and Learning
6. Build Open and Honest Relationships With Communication
7. Build a Positive team and Family Spirit
8. Do more with less
9. Be Passionate and Determined
10. Be Humble

I was impressed with the core values. Why? Look at it. One by one. Don't you think it's more of a culture which can be imposed and practiced? I would love to have this kind of core values which is practical and make sense. For Tony, core values should be something for people to follow and happy about it. So far, I've not heard any core values that has the word "wow". A normal spoken language which is being used as a core value. Ain't that great? Tony focus his attention towards the employees first and customer as secondary. Without a strong base of employee, your company will never be big enough for global capitalization.

Another book which was written by the global entrepreneur, Sir Richard Branson also focus on his employee.

"Conventions dictates that a company should look after its shareholders first, its customers next and last of all worry about its employees. Virgin does the opposite. For us, our employees matter most. It just seems common sense to me that, if you start off with a happy, well motivated workforce, you are more likely to have happy customers. And in due course the resulting profits will make your shareholders happy. " (Page 410: Losing My Virginity).

Think about it. Both companies emphasis on their employees by having their own cultures. In an organzation, we can't copy others culture. We can learn but we can copy. 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week. You do the math for a year. Without having the great culture, employees will come to work for money instead of seeing it as part of the life where they really enjoy. Happy workers come and work with joy. They need little attention. They work like an auto-pilot. Unlike unhappy employees, they are forced to do the work. They forced themselves to come to work. I believe we have choices to make in life. Don't let the life controls you. Start taking action and control life.

Not all companies have great culture and values. What should we do if our company belongs in the sad case? Having a set of core values which is valueless since nobody even understand and practice it. Complaints doesn't lead to anywhere. Take ACTION. What? You can always starts discussing among your colleagues and find the right medium for you to highlight this. Your small action will actually be rewarded handsomely. Trust me. When we focus so much about outside world, we are actually preparing ourself for a bad time. There won't be any company in the world that make money all the time. There are times when they suffer. They can only wake up again if they have the right employees that can bring them up again. Apple is one classic example. They rised during the 70's and eventually were kind off quiet for a while. Then Steve Jobs just came in again and did his magic. Without him, there won't even be I-Pods, I-Phones, I-Pads and list goes on. God! Amazing.

Mission, Vission, core values - culture.

Think about it. Amazing companies distinguish themselves with other companies by having their own set of cultures. For them, happy people will lead to happy customer. Happy customer will bring more profits. At the end of the day, it's a win-win situation for all.

Cheers!

Gossip Mongers

They talk about me
They talk about you
Don’t they have anything better to do?

Gossip mongers
Catty quippers
Wagging tongues in satin slippers

Lies and half truths
Is what they convey
Fabricated stories mostly I’d say

They search to and fro
For a juicy tidbit
What will it take to make them quit?

Yesterday I had a discussion with miss and found out that most of her friends congratulate her.

Why is that so? Is it because of my statement yesterday. Well, honestly, we are thinking of moving forward. Forward where? Just moving forward.

Honestly, I have never really like the idea of going to the whole process of getting married. Merisik, bertunang, nikah and the bersanding part. God! So many things to do and involve a lot of plannings.

My miss told me that if you love me, just go through all this and get it done. Well, ok-ok. I will follow through and act like a man. Sounds funny rite? 28 at the moment and scared of facing all this crap. Opps..It shouldn't be crap as it is a journey.

This is what I said yesterday. A moving forward journey.

to be continued...

What if… What could have happened…what, what and what

How many times have we heard this from other people or we ourselves said this.

Me myself, though I know I could have done better if not for the too much de-tour in life, I rarely used the ‘what if’.

Things that has already past can never be changed. It will remain in the history book.

Moving forward, instead of applying or using the ‘ what if’ in life, why not practice ‘ what can I do next’.

Guess this is much better and it can improve the way we look at things.

Great people will always strive for the future instead of crying and complaining of the past. Past will remain past. It's only in the Hollywood movies where they showed we can change the past. Whatever that has happened, take it as a lesson and additional experience. Experience is expensive. We can buy it. We can only feel it.

"Ini office laa bukan playground!"/ "This is office and not playground!"

It was darn funny as I heard my friend saying this to his office girlfriend yesterday. I asked him what's up. He said his girlfriend is so funny. Don't know how to distinguish between office and outside. Well, I told him that's the case when someone is dating in the same office.

To me, though my current partner is from the same office, I don't see it as an issue. Why?

  1. I don't treat her any different from any of my friend;
  2. We go out lunch with others as well. Though lately, we spent the time together most of the time;
  3. Any relationship can be triggered at any place. It doesn't matter whether office, gym, bars etc.;
  4. I told her that we are not going to be colleagues forever;
  5. She's my friend and potential soulmate. I don't find it boring to see her as I know I can bully her. Without her, I feel a little bit empty; and
  6. Maybe I'm old enough for the critics. At the end of the day, people can say whatever they want to say. U can listen but u have ur own choice to follow through.
I told my friend to enjoy the moment. Just enjoy the moment as not many people can actually date someone from the same office and enjoy the companion. One thing to ponder for office dating is whether is there any compatibility. If both has a different kinds of friends outside office, I believe the relationship can work. Otherwise, the couple is just together because of the same environment they are in.

When I wake up and she's not next to me, I realized that it's time for me to think of something big.

I told her lets get married by this year and her feedback is very positive.

After dating so many girls, this is the woman that believes in me. Guess what, the most important thing in a relationship is believe. She, someone who is fun, cool, smart and nice, can i get the same from others? I doubt that.

Good opportunities don't come often. I believe this is it. Should I wait? Shouldn't i?

Getting married is an opportunity to share and spread the love. Build a life from scratch. Ain't that something to look forward? Is life complete when u have money, big house, posh cars? Other people will have different views. For me, life is complete when I have met my soulmate. Someone that can be my lover and someone that can be my friend.

People always say our relationship is kind of funny and seems like a 'love-hate-relationship'. I told her that the most important thing in a relationship is to be true to oneself. Don't pretend to be nice or extra clingy if she's not. I even allow her to curse and yell when necessary. Maybe that's me. I am simple but sophisticated. Guess she can handle me after going through all the hardship in less than a year.

What I can see is, something is going to happen soon.

Will keep on updating about the next step soon...

Mr told me the other day to double check all my recitation in solat. So making full use of my new ipad (heeeeeee) i youtube for all the compulsory readings in solat. Terkejut weyhhh! Ada yg tertinggal ayat, ada yg salah sebut, ada yg terepusing-pusing. Its funny how we do this EVERY day but its still not perfect - mungkin terlepas pandang, mungkin asyik duk speedy gonzalez je solat sampai tanpa disedari, tunggang langgang bacaan.

Jom betulkan bacaan dalam solat rakan-rakan! Tahiyat awal/akhir, doa qunut, al-fatihah, semualah! Solat tu tiang agama :)

HOW MANY OF US HAVE THE Malaysian Football National jersey in our wardrobe? If we look at the statistics of Malaysian who watches or plays football, there are only a numbers who actually owns this jersey.

Last year, when Malaysia won the Asian Suzuki Cup, the sales of the jersey were outstanding until Nike had to re-produced them again to cater for the high rising demand. It's unexpected as most of us barely knows the name of the national players.

For me, I find it interesting to watch many young people wearing the national jersey these days. Thanks to Nike, the jersey actually looks pretty cool. Currently, the price of the jersey is only RM 199 which is RM 50 cheaper than the other jerseys in the Nike shops.

This move is to actually encourage more Malaysian to own this jersey. If our stadiums are filled with our own national jerseys, how nice can that be right? Fantastic!

As for today, I went to the Nike Shop in MidValley to get my own national jersey for the first time. I was relieved to know that there are still stocks for the jerseys. I am very much happy to finally own my own national jersey. Well, there are options where I can actually purchase the jersey at the price of RM 50 and below, sold in front of the stadiums. However, if I can buy Manchester Jersey at the price of RM 259, why can't I buy the original jersey? Think about it. It's not about the quality. Is about national pride.

From now onwards, I will ensure to follow the national football team as I believe this hopeful footballers needs some sort of support from their own fan. Without their own fan, it will be a sad journey for these players.

Negaraku, tanggungjawabku.

My country, my responsibility.

Apalah ertinya sukan tanpa peminat?

What is the meaning of sports without fans?

TODAY, 13th July 2011, Malaysian football team will be up against the so called- Barca of the Premier League. This is the 1st Game of the Asia Tour by the other giants such as Chelsea F.C and Liverpool F.C. This tour is very good for our football team as for the first time after 20 years, we are in the second round of the 2014 World Cup qualifying.

Looking at the current scenario, the numbers of Malaysian supporter has risen as compared to the previous years. Our revival started in 2009 when we won the the Laos Sea Games by beating Vietnam, 1-0. Consequently, we also won the Suzuki Cup in 2010 by beating our arch rivals, Indonesia. Honestly speaking, I haven't been watching or following the Malaysian league since 1994. When talking about football, I only watch games involving Manchester United, Barcelona, Argentina and so on. Isn't it irony for Malaysian to actually support other countries instead of their own countries?

Thanks to our glory in those two tournaments, it made me realized that footballers needs fan. Without a strong fan base, they won't have the same spirit like the other football team in the world. Football is a game played by 11 players against another 11 and can be witness by thousands of fans. Just imagine if the 100,000 capacity in Stadium Nasional Bukit Jalil is packed by our supporters, I would strongly say that these players will play wholeheartedly.

We might lack a lot of technical aspects but with the high team spirit, impossible is nothing. We have showed in 70's and 80's that we are one of the respected team in Asia and even qualified for the 1980 Moscow Olympic though we actually opted to boycott the Game. History has shown that Malaysia can actually play.

With our current team being so called Harimau Malaya or well known as Malaya Tiger, I believe we can triumph once again.
1. BERJUANGLAH
Ole-Ole..
Ole-Ole-Ole-Ole
Berjuanglah
Pahlawanku…
Satukanlah Tekad Semangatmu
Kami Rela..Korban Nyawa
Demi Daulat Negara Tercinta (ulang balik dari mula sampai abis)
2. BANGKITLAH
Ayuh Bangkit Bersama
Demi Nusa Dan Bangsa
Kan Ku Julang Namamu Oh Tanah Airku
Malaysia Yang Satu
Kan Kujulang Namamu Oh Tanah Airku
Malaysia Yang Satu
MALAAAYSIAAAA!!!
Ooooooooooooooooo
Oooooooooooooooooo
Ooooooooooooooooooooo

This are just two songs taken from the UltraMalayas. Come on Malaysia. Put away all our hatred towards the government and let's have fun celebrate / support the revival of our Malaysian Football Team. Without us, there are no roar of Harimau Malaya that can be heard in the Nasional Stadium Bukit Jalil.

Ole! Ole! Ole! Berjuanglang wahai pemain- pemain Malaysia. Kamulah wakil B.E.R.S.IH kerana kamu menyatukan kaum-kaum di Malaysia untuk bersama- sama menyokong pasukan negara!

I'm in Kuching yo! Staying over at my high school friend's place (sue) with another 3 girlfriends. It has become a mini-gathering.

My high school friends memang terbaik - no matter how long we've not seen each other, we can just hit things off just like that. Terbaik!

Anyways, the 1st day of rainfest was awesome! With mixtures of music from different continents of the world; from the traditional iban music to the drums of brazil and the folk and blues songs of USA and the fiddle music of Scandinavia.

The peak for me last night was during the performance of a group from south italy. I couldn't understand a single word they sang but the rhythm and off-beats of their songs were awesome! I was jumping and skipping and dancing and sweating. Gila. The power of music. Boleh khayal!

Will be going for the second day today. Looking forward for more khayal-ness!

Dirah and Me - 5 years of classmates,4 more years of Sydney uni days and still friends..

13 years of frienship and still counting!

Check out the crowd!
P/s: I love how I can update my blog anywhere - thanks to my new ipad2 hihi ;)

Yesterday, I completed my first run - 3km - with stops hehe. Met a lot of friends along the way, "Eh..hi!...Eh..hi!" Wasn't quite confident at first, and then I realized that 3km isn't that far after all.

Mr. was fast! Of course being the nice bf, he accompanied me for the first 1km. The second I met a friend of mine along the way, he was gone in a flash! (exageratting here hehe) Mesti dalam kepala "Adoii... lembabnya gf aku ni....."

Me & Mr - notice who's holding the medal? Hihi

Me with some of our colleagues.
I have to admit that I'm not fit - low stamina level. But looking at everyone else there, I am very motivated to build up my stamina now onwards. I wanna join the next run and complete it without stopping! I can do thissssss! I can keep up with u Mr! ;)

These days, many marry for the wrong reasons. Some for money, some for power, some for love – or maybe lust? We decide on marriage based on JUST emotions & feelings – but who are we really? Imperfect human beings.

I always believe that yes – we must trust our feelings – but we must also never forget to seek for Allah’s guidance because HE knows what’s best for us. We always forget that, don’t we? We always forget the power of Allah. Always pray for the best for ourselves. InsyaAllah we will fall in love with THE one.

And when in doubt, in uncertainty, you may do solat istikharah:

Solat Istikharah

Many are worried of losing the one you’re currently in love with, but not to worry: if he’s not the right one for you , insyaAllah he will be brought far away from you, your feelings for him might slowly fade away too. If he’s the right one for you, you will feel it. You will be satisfied and sure of your decision. If still in doubt, do this solat every other day, until you’ve found the answer. God will guide your through your instincts and feelings - naluri dan perasaan. You will feel very calm with the guidance, insyaAllah.

Always put your faith in Allah – redha dengan ketentuanNya. Because like I said, HE knows best. Jodoh itu di tangan Tuhan :)
