Zaahara website is now officially running with customers ordering daily, Alhamdulillah! You may click on the link at the top right of this page to view it.

We've engaged iPay88 as our payment gateway so Malaysians can now buy products with just a few clicks - we accept Maybank2u, CimbClicks, RHBonline, Visa, MasterCard and many more forms of online transactions!

We've also introduced our second range of product: Islamic Books, ranging from Seerah & Biographies, Wedding, Marriages & Family, and Children books. Many ordered women reading materials like 'Gift for Muslim Bride' and 'Women Around the Messenger' however we didn't expect to receive such high amount of orders on the english children books. Titles like 'My First Quran Storybook' and 'Goodnight Stories from the Life of Prophet Muhammad," seem to be favorites. Many adults even quietly confessed that most of them don't know much about stories from the Quran, as they've been brought up with stories of prince and princesses, oh don't we all?

This coming weekend, me and mom will be heading off to Indonesia to add more interesting products in Zaahara. I love how Zaahara is growing and how our dreams are slowly becoming reality, one by one :D :D :D

It has only been the first week of Ramadhan, yet there are already two racial news that have been popularly talked among us Malaysians to test our patience.

First of all, was the 8tv ramadhan advertisement:

And then, it was the JAIS Church Raid controversy,

There's just a lot of other news reported in the papers everyday, but we CHOOSE to talk and discuss on these racial issues. Both these news were not even prime news, but yet, we cannot runaway from highlighting them in our everyday discussions.

With the 1Malaysia concept, everyone expects race equality and rights, that even small petty racial/religion controversy can be very very sensitive. All it needs is just the media to report it. And then 'Bang!', everyone starts talking about it, creating more hatred among the public. Racial issues are being exploited!

We find faults in all these racial news. Suddenly, we cannot talk about our differences anymore? Suddenly we cannot talk about respecting each other's religion anymore? Why so sensitive? Are you telling me that one day, there won't be anymore Hari Raya or Chinese New Year celebration but just 1Malaysia celebration?

Due to our differences in religion practices, lifestyle & customs, we cannot deny that we are all, a little bit racist. Even in the States or everywhere else in the world, they may not show it, but they too are a little bit racist, just a little bit, racist. It's natural. We are all human beings.

Sometimes, I believe that we should all acknowledge our differences, and try understanding and tolerating each other - then respect will come too. ACCEPT, TOLERATE and RESPECT.

The way we handle these news so far is just very very disappointing. Even more racial remarks are thrown to each other, publicly now, thanks to Facebook and Twitter. Honestly, this isn't the way towards a united Malaysia.

Bring me Harimau Malaya pls!

Today, I'd like to recommend readers to two beauty products that have shown marvelous results!

1. Perspirex Antiprespirant

This is embarrassing but I've had body odor ever since I was a kid! And it is usually due to underarm sweating. My late grandmother used to greet-kiss me everyday after school and she will always say "Eeeeeee...masamnya!" Heh.

So anyways. It is a nuisance. Something that you're born with. It also annoys me because sometimes it effects my confidence. I've tried using talcum powder - but it will only lasts a few hours. I've also tried Rexona - and I have to agree that it is the best deodorant out of all others in the market, but it will only last me half a day. Some products stops the odor but not the sweat. Some products stops the sweating but not the odor.

One day, I found Perspirex - my savior! Apply it every alternate 2 nights before going to sleep, and the next day, use your usual favourite choice of deodorant and it works like magic! LIKE MAGIC!

You can get them at any pharmacy here in Malaysia - I got mine at Guardian.
To those who share the same problem with me, worry no more!

2. Bobbi Brown Buffing Grain

These buffing grains are actually good material for face scrub. It's natural and good for sensitive skin. You can use them on its own after cleansing your face. Or you can put a 5cent amount on your palm and mix it with your liquid cleanser and tadaaa!  - you've got your own face scrub.

Since you only need a very small amount of it, it actually lasts pretty long. The other good thing about it is that you can control the different amount of grains at different areas of your face. Put more at areas which needs a lot of scrubbing (neck/nose/forehead) and less and a bit more sensitive areas (for me, cheek).

Go and ask for a sample first from any Bobbi Brown outlets and give it a try. You'll surely feel satisfied with the super smooth effect :D
